OUR STORY

Emily Marquis is a professional Goldsmith & seasoned instructor in the fabrication of precious metal jewelry.  Her husband, Cal McNamara, has been training at the bench since 2017, shortly after meeting Emily. In 2020 they moved their business back to their home state of Connecticut after 8 years in Washington, DC. During this time in DC, Emily taught year-round for JewelryClassDC and worked as a bench jeweler for the premier jewelry store in the city. Moving to the shoreline has given them the opportunity to expand their offerings while becoming part of the local community here in Stonington.

Whether your goal is to learn new skills, launch an independent business, work within the industry, Marquis Jewelry Academy is the perfect place to build the foundation. As a student here, you will have access to our amazing, supportive network throughout your time studying and beyond the classroom, should you choose to start selling your designs.

 

The focus has always been providing professional-level jewelry education to beginners and established jewelers alike. In our studio classroom in Stonington, CT;  We offer structured classes, workshops, and private instruction on various techniques, as well as hosting traveling instructors for specialty workshops. Our office and sales room across the hall provides space for us to sit down and get to know our clients, privately shop our collection of available jewelry, and invite vendors and artist pop-up events.
